Not Science

How do you define “science”?   The website defines science (in part) as:

  1. a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws.
  2. systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.

Darwinan evolutionists believe that as a result of repeated undirected favorable cellular mutation, all life forms evolved from a common ancestor.  It is their belief that no matter what creature you may be, your ancestry is the same.  So, therefore, all life on earth came from the same primordial goo.  They note that this process would take a very, very long time to occur.

Interestingly enough, the fossil record shows no sign of this.  If this were so, our planet’s fossil record would be replete with transitional species, but it is not.  What our fossil record does show is a relative explosion of life in a comparatively very short period of time,  usually referred to as the “Cambrian Explosion”.  And still no transitional fossil record has been found.

Does this appear to fit the definition of science?  To me, it appears to be an attempt to find an answer that fits one’s opinion and not to follow where empirical evidence leads.
